The Frolic Shawl Collection contains 3 patterns designed using Sunrise Fiber Co’s Frolic Sport. Gambol and Yosemite were also written in single color fingering weight versions.
Gambol, to run or jump about playfully, seemed like the perfect name for a shawl designed in a yarn called Frolic. This design is worked from one side to the other, switching direction in the middle creating a V shape in the center. After the body is complete, yarn overs around the edge of the shawl are picked up and a lace border is worked.

PATTERN NOTES
This shawl is worked sideways and then
stitches are picked up all around the edge to create the border. Yarn overs are
created along the edge of the body to make picking up for the border easier and
to create a nice frame around the body. This pattern is easily customizable to any
weight of yarn and for a variety of repeats of the increase and straight
sections.
